IIITD&M Kancheepuram


 
         Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITD&M) Kancheepuram is an academic and research center of excellence established by the MHRD, Govt. of India in 2007 with the mandate of specializing in design and manufacturing oriented engineering education. Human resource development reforms of the past have helped India attain global recognition in knowledge and IT enabled services. A strong foothold in the design market will propel the nation's growth and IIITD&Ms are a result of the Government of India's vision to produce next generation equipped with design and manufacturing skills.
 
         The industry driven adaptive management structure of the institute provides ability to respond to challenges of the future. In addition to the innovative UG programs, the institute offers novel post graduate level Master of Design (M Des) and research programs leading to a Doctoral degree. The institute maintains a healthy faculty student ratio (1:12) to impart quality education. Strong industry interface and close cooperation with other academic and research institutions are the key features of this institute. State of Art permanent campus of the institute is under development at Vandalur-Kelambakkam road, near Chennai which is about 30km from Chennai International Airport. The institute is home to students from various parts of the nation and as a result the campus is vibrant with youthful and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
